Assessment of the characteristics of patients with central diabetes insipidus (DI) – from diagnosis to management of the condition

Diabetes insipidus is a condition characterized by passing large volumes of unconcentrated urine which can result in severe dehydration unless there is a compensating intake of fluids. The central form of diabetes insipidus is due to a deficiency of the hormone arginine vasopressin (AVP) in the posterior pituitary gland.

The aim of this anonymous survey is to collect data about the characteristics of patients with central diabetes insipidus from diagnosis to management of the condition.
