Research Focus

Neurology

Area of Research

Development, standardisation and digitisation of clinical rating scales for recording and quantifying neurological symptoms, including algorithm-based feedback systems. The focus is on neuroimmunological (MS, NMOSD) and neurodegenerative (Huntington's disease) disorders. Further, development of telemedical applications in neurology for assessing clinical symptoms; to perform physical examination in home environment (to compensate for reduced mobility, pandemic and planning DCTs). In addition, use of AI-based methods to analyse the data obtained from the systems we develop. Further implementing new strategies in QMS and supporting validation of software used in the medical field.
