COVID-19 can also cause symptoms on the skin and can be detected there even if other COVID-19 tests, such as nasopharyngeal swab and antibody tests in the blood are negative. This is shown by the investigation of a case by the Dermatology and Pathology Department of the University Hospital Basel, in which DKF Research Group Leader Prof. Alexander Navarini (Dermatology/USB) was involved.
