The two young doctors from the University Hospital Basel (USB) were each awarded a "Young Talents in Clinical Research" grant. The grants are awarded by the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences (SAMS) and the Gottfried and Julia Bangerter-Rhyner Foundation.

Dr. Ketina Arslani (Cardiology/USB) will be supported in her clinical research activities with a "Beginner grant", Dr. Clara Sailer (Endocrinology, Diabetology & Metabolism/USB) receives a "Project grant".
