The Swiss Society for Paediatrics (SGP) awards Prof. Urs Frey (Medical Director UKBB/Professorship for Paediatrics) the Guido Fanconi Memorial Prize.

With his research group he is investigating the development of asthma and lung development in infants and toddlers. The prize, worth CHF 10,000, is awarded annually for outstanding work in favour of paediatrics.
