LIGHTS - LIbrary of Guidance for Health Scientists

The bibliographic databases in medicine such as MEDLINE have been designed to optimally identify medical studies. In contrast, it can be very challenging to identify methodological publications for which no efficient search filters are available. Particularly relevant for health scientists are methodological guidelines that define the current state-of-the art of health research.

The aim of this project is to establish a continuously updated open-access library with a user-friendly search interface designed to address the needs of health scientists and methods consultants who are seeking advice regarding optimal research methods.

The project is supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation, the Research Fund of the University of Basel, Karakun Software, and an international group of experts in health research methodology.
