Reporting guidelines

EQUATOR (Enhancing the Quality and Transparency in Health Research) is a non-profit network of scientists, editors of scientific journals and research funding institutions. The aim of the organisation is to improve the quality and transparency of clinical research.

The network has drawn up guidelines on how specific content should be reported in specialist journals and study protocols so that decision-makers from science and politics as well as patients can interpret the information and results correctly. All major medical journals officially require compliance with these guidelines when submitting manuscripts.
